Abstract

Abstract Fe3O4/CoWO4 magnetic nanocomposites with spherical morphology were synthesized by simple method. The crystal structures, morphology and chemical properties of the as-synthesized nanoparticles were characterized using scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray, X-ray diffraction, and vibrating sample magnetometer techniques. The photocatalytic activity of Fe3O4/CoWO4 magnetic nanocomposites was investigated by degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) in aqueous solution under visible light irradiation. The results indicate that about 98% of RhB were degraded after 180 min. The antimicrobial activity of Fe3O4/CoWO4 nanocomposites were investigated.
